Who holds which seat. You can move someone or free a seat they walked away
from — players cannot take a seat off each other, but you can.
Exercises
Everything on this engine. Open one to run it, or start a new one for a client.
Worlds
What there is to run. Author a world from a client's reconnaissance
(python cli.py --author), then upload the world.json
— or the {world, manifest} pair — here.
New client
Collect a client's public footprint — certificate transparency, DNS,
the domain registry, their own web headers — and draft an exercise from it.
Passive only: nothing here probes anything they haven't already published.
The alias rewrites their domain, hostnames and any staff
names throughout — what survives is the shape (who their vendors
are, what's exposed), which is the part worth keeping and the part that
identifies nobody.
Invite players
Send this link to everyone taking part. It admits them to this
exercise only, lets them pick a seat, and expires on its own.
Anyone with the link can join, so share it
the way you would a meeting link. It confers no facilitator powers.
Facilitator view — you're running this exercise. Undo · Inject · Restart are yours; players don't see them.
▸ Terminal
type an action in plain English — the engine interprets and rules on it
soc@ridgeline:~$
▸ Inbox
messages to and from in-exercise participants & agents only
▸ Team Chat
your response team — human seats and AI role-agents
#incident-response#soc#leadership
▸ Timeline
everything you're aware of, in order — hidden activity stays hidden
▸ Artifacts
evidence & files your investigation turns up — shared with the whole team
▸ Network Map
your known environment — a machine reads "compromised" only once your team confirms it
Connect to a live exercise
Point at a running engine (python cli.py --serve). Leave blank to keep exploring the demo.
Take a seat
Every seat sees the same incident at a different altitude — the SOC analyst
reads indicators, the CEO hears business impact. Pick the one you're playing.
Seats held by someone else are locked. A seat
run by the engine can be taken over at any time.
Prompt the Moderator
Say in plain English what to bring into the exercise. The Moderator works out whether it's a new system, a piece of evidence, or a message — and builds it.
Systems land on the network map · evidence lands in Artifacts · messages land in the inbox. Anything you add can be undone.
